My first thought upon finishing this book was "I have to read this again--I sure missed a lot!" What is happening to this town? Who are these people, and what do they mean to each other? Can they save the day?
I found this story to be intriguing with many twists and turns along the way. I found myself plotting along with the characters and anxious to read further to see what happened next.
The descriptions of the characters and settings were detailed and extensive, enabling me to "see" the story, not just read it. This book is definitely worth a read, and I can't wait for the next one...

This novel is fantasy writing at its best. For a debut book, I am in awe at the talent and imagination of this author. Even though it is a story set in another time there are many life lessons that can be applied to today. Please keep the characters alive, I can't wait for the next book.

Although a fantasy, the story steeped in the reality that there really is hope beyond hope.
I felt the beginning of the story a bit lethargic, but as the pages turned, I became more and more engrossed in the lives of the characters. As I read, I though the author was leading me in one direction only to see that, he in fact was taking me down a twisted road in a completely different direction. His vivid imagination is one which most lose as they reach adulthood, but he has managed to maintain that which most of us would gladly give our eyeteeth to have maintained. The end of the novel left me pondering the fate of all the characters. Will Rowena be successfully in her Quest, what was the HighLords plan and finally, in all the HighLords Chaos where does Frazer fit? In this >saga there is so much going on, I can only suspect that the author has many more ideas to put to paper to that end, I eagerly await for the successive books for I now have Moonwriting on my mind!-Linda S.
